Old Jakarta Coffee


 

 

 

When on route to and from Indonesia, Dutch sailors couldn’t use open fires onboard their wooden vessels. Inventive enough, they created a method to cold brew coffee, leaving water in contact with grounded beans for 12 hours. We have mixed cold brewed ‘Batavia Dutch Coffee’ with our Batavia Arrack Rum and went back to those old days on the seas of Indonesia.

 

 


INGREDIENTS

1 part                  “By the Dutch” Batavia Arrack
1 part                   cold brewed “Batavia Dutch Coffee” Santuario
2 dashes            “By the Dutch”  Orange Bitters
                               Ginger Ale


 

                           

INSTRUCTIONS

Pour the coffee and Batavia Arrack on a rocks glass filled with ice. Add 2 drops of Orange Bitters and top up with Ginger ale.
